Student life in Winchester

Winchester has a thriving scene of independent cafes, restaurants and bars – including celebrity chef Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s River Cottage Canteen in Abbey Mills Garden, Rick Stein’s seafood focused restaurant and cosy heritage pubs like the Wykeham Arms.

The city offers plenty of cinemas and is so proud of its fascinating museums such as the Winchester’s Military Museum or the City Museum Winchester, all of which are affordable and accessible to the public. Winchester has many things in place to bring the community closer together including the Winchester Festival, which features some of the best in live music.

The city is also known for its small however passionate sport & outdoor culture.
