Perfect Pancake Recipe
- 50g plain flour
- 1 egg
- 150 ml milk
Whisk the eggs, flour and a dribble of the milk until a paste forms, then slowly whisk in the rest of the milk.
Heat a little oil in a pan, pour in some batter and tip the pan to ensure it spreads thinly and evenly.
Cook for 30 to 60 seconds on each side, until golden with a few pale brown patches. Turn either with a slice or by flipping!
For savoury pancakes, lay slices of ham and grated cheese over the cooked pancake before rolling.
For sweet pancakes, try a simple drizzle of golden syrup, or a more fancy creation with red berries and grated chocolate.
For the ultimate student pancake, go for a big dollop of Nutella and some toasted hazelnuts. Perfection!
