Collegiate managed student accommodation, Gateway Apartments in Edinburgh, has scooped a top honour at this year’s Scottish Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) awards, winning Best Residential Development against stiff competition, including the showpiece athlete’s village for the Glasgow Commonwealth games.
RICS Awards showcase the most inspirational regional initiatives and developments in land, property, construction and the environment. The judges look beyond the mere structure of a building to examine the project in the round looking at aspects including community impact and end-user satisfaction.
Welcoming the award, Collegiate MD Eri Cuanalo said: “Our target is always excellence and we have taken particular pride in the way Gateway has fulfilled that aim. To have that recognised in these fiercely competitive awards judged by the best of our peers is a great boost to Collegiate and a vote of confidence in the judgement of those who live and learn in our accommodation.”
