Here at Collegiate we know that our properties are based in the UK’s most exciting and attractive cities, but it’s always good to have external confirmation! Now, the 2015 Travellers’ Choice Awards from TripAdvisor have provided exactly that.
Every year, TripAdvisor issues awards based on its users’ experiences, covering everything from individual restaurants to the world’s leading cities. With the 2015 winners just announced, we were delighted to see that three of the top five destinations within the UK are home to our fab student properties.
Collegiate CEO Eri Cuanalo comments,
“We know that students want to study and live in great cities. University is a chance for them to spread their wings and begin discovering what the world has to offer. The academic side is the key driver for their choice of university, of course, but the city behind the university is also important. Both domestic students and those coming to the UK to study from overseas want well located accommodation in cities that offer a dynamic and exciting home.”
London took the top spot for the TripAdvisor 2015 UK destination Travellers’ Choice awards, with Edinburgh coming in second. We provide a great range of accommodation options in both cities, which are known for their host of cultural attractions, ancient architecture and leading shopping, as well as their lively nightlife.
Liverpool came in at the number five spot, with this contemporary city enjoying a serious art scene and growing foodie reputation, as well as a host of fantastic music and sporting venues.
Just making the top ten, Glasgow was also given a UK destination Travellers’ Choice award and is another city that we are proud to be a part of. The largest of Scotland’s cities, Glasgow (like Liverpool) enjoys a lively independent music scene, as well as plentiful theatres, museums and art venues, making it an extremely popular choice for students. It also has a booming shopping scene packed with world class stores, from huge chains to unique boutiques.
