Academic credentials are great, but students want to know about more than that when they choose the universities they plan to apply to. That’s why the Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey is so important – and the 2015 results have just revealed the locations of the UK’s best universities, based on students’ own experiences.

We were delighted to see that cities with our fab properties in them made it into many of the six key categories covered by the survey. London did best, with universities in the capital appearing in four of the six categories: high quality staff/lecturers, high quality facilities, good sports facilities and good industry connections.

Other Collegiate cities represented included Leeds, Cardiff, Exeter, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Birmingham.

When it came to scoring the overall university experience, our cities took home a respectable handful of positions, with the University of Exeter taking eighth place, followed in quick succession by the University of Leeds and Newcastle University. Nottingham, where we will be launching accommodation in time for September 2016, was in at 12th position, while the University of St Andrews in Edinburgh was 16th. The University of Birmingham and the University of Southampton also made the top 20 list, tying for 18th place.

The results highlight our policy of providing the best accommodation in the best university towns across the UK. From Southampton on England’s southern coast, to Cardiff in the west and Edinburgh and Glasgow in the north, we are there to support residents to enjoy the time they spend studying to the max.
