Cardiff University has made it into the top 50 most innovative higher education institutions in Europe, according to a ranking from Thomson Reuters. It was the only university from Wales to make it into the league table, ranking in 45th place. Out of the UK institutions that made it into the ranking, Cardiff Uni came in 8th.
Cardiff has an excellent reputation for its science and engineering courses, as well as a range of other areas of study. In fact, the university made a second top 50 list this week when Professor Karen Holford, pro vice-chancellor for physical sciences and engineering, was recognized as one of the top 50 women in engineering by the Daily Telegraph and the Women’s Engineering Society.
As well as a leading university with influential professors, Cardiff is also home to some seriously impressive student accommodation.
