Pack for Good with the British Heart Foundation

At Collegiate UK, we believe small everyday actions can create a big impact. Through our partnership with the British Heart Foundation’s (BHF) Pack for Good campaign, we provide donation points across our sites so students can give pre-loved items a second life during end-of-term clear-outs.

Our Impact across 23/24

  • 4,059 bags donated by Collegiate UK students.
  • Donations could raise up to £85,239 for BHF, directly funding life-saving research into heart and circulatory disease.
  • Items donated include clothes, shoes, books, DVDs, bags and small electricals — goods that might otherwise have gone to landfill.
  • Supports our ESG target of 90% waste diversion by 2028 and 100% by 2030.

Community & Environmental Value

This initiative does more than raise funds:

  • It reduces waste by recycling and reusing items.
  • It provides affordable goods in local communities through BHF’s nationwide network of charity shops.
  • It helps our students live more sustainably, embedding positive behaviours that extend beyond their time with Collegiate.

Voices from the Partnership

Amanda Purkiss, BHF Partnership Manager:

“We have been delighted with the response from Collegiate UK students and their incredible support. Our shops rely on donations to continue raising money to fund lifesaving research. Thanks to the generous donations from students and staff, we have been able to support our shops in local communities nationwide.”
