Newington Green is a great hotspot from which to enjoy London. The excellent Overground and plentiful bus connections mean that access to Camden, Hackney and Central London is easy, while Angel and Islington are just 15 minutes away. Islington offers cocktail bars, live music venues (O2 Academy Islington) and the Almeida and Sadler’s Wells theatres. Meanwhile the iconic Camden Market features hundreds of stalls, from fashion to street food.

The local Newington Green area includes Stoke Newington Church Street just a 10 minute stroll away, which is bursting with great independent restaurants, bars, pubs and vintage shops. The Rio Cinema on Stoke Newington Road, a rooftop cinema club and Hackney Picturehouse are all nearby.

Just two minutes’ walk from Charles Morton Court, Newington Green provides the perfect place to enjoy warmer weather and often hosts events like fairs and Jazz on the Green. Clissold Park is also just a short stroll away and offers tennis courts, a games area and a café.

King’s Cross station is only a 20 minute bus journey away whilst London Metropolitan and the UCL Campus are also reachable by bus in less than 20 minutes. City University students can get to the Northampton Square Campus on the 341 in under half an hour. The 21 bus route goes to Old Street, Bank and London Bridge.

Canonbury station is a 10 minute walk from Charles Morton court for mainline trains to Highbury & Islington, Stratford, Hoxton, Shoreditch and Canada Water. Stratford’s huge Westfield shopping centre is just 20 minutes from Canonbury station by train.
