Social & Paid Media Manager

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for the UK’s leading luxury student accommodation provider to create and deliver an excellent social media strategy across 35 UK sites and future sites across Europe. Working closely with the Head of Production, you will be responsible for developing and coordinating a social media content calendar, managing the brand’s day-to-day social media presence, engaging with social followers and influencers as well as implementing strategic paid social campaigns. There could also be a bit of support needed on PPC (depending on candidate).

Responsibilities

  • Content calendar planning and day-to-day management of social media channels ensuring it aligns with the brand, while also ensuring content is relevant and appropriate for each medium
  • Acting as social editorial guardian and ensuring the highest quality management across all social channels + ensuring social campaigns remain engaging and are up-to-date with the advances in social media technology
  • Creating and managing paid social campaigns (perhaps PPC, too, depending on candidate)
  • Community engagement & Customer Service support: maintaining relationships with the brand and their social followers and engaging with relevant influencers.
  • Working with the wider in-house teams (marketing, production and operations) to look at ways social media, paid social and paid search can work within wider campaigns
  • Analysing social media & paid activity to guide future campaigns

Requirements

  • An in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and how each can be deployed in different scenarios
  • Excellent copywriting, editing and proof-reading skills with good attention to detail
  • Experience planning and project managing written, visual and video content production
  • Previous experience managing paid (social and PPC) budgets and campaigns, including research, forecasting, planning, execution and performance analysis
  • Excellent knowledge of the latest best practices and ad products from Google, Facebook, and other media partners
  • Fluent in English
  • Confident communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate creative ideas and strategic plans to internal teams

Qualifications

  • Qualified by experience
  • Google AdWords certification (depending on candidate)
